AP-31 is the legacy RTO code for Visakhapatnam district in Andhra Pradesh. AP-32, AP-33, and AP-34 were also reserved for Visakhapatnam with only few vehicles getting these registrations. Since February 2019, the state implemented the 'one state-one code' policy where all new vehicles are registered with AP-39/AP-40 series.
